Just a side note (of interest mainly to myself), I was a women's athletic shoe buyer back in 1984 when these came on the scene. I knocked them off and put them in my stores (Payless ShoeSource and then K-Mart). Back then, we made the shoes out of "faux leather" or PU, as we called it in the business, while Reebok made their shoes out of genuine leather and used rubber outsoles. I sold over a million pairs a year, while Reebok sold about 650,000. I charged only $9.99, which was an expensive shoe back then, and the Reebok leather Princess was $32.00. How times have changed in the 41 years since this shoe was introduced. Now, Reebok makes its shoes out of "faux leather" and "faux rubber" (both are PU, or Polyurethane). Now you know.
